Scope of Work
Deliverables:
Site Architecture & Responsive Design Restructure the existing single-page site into five pages: Home, About, Contact, Journals Index, Journal Article Template. Apply consistent typography, spacing and fully responsive behaviour across all devices.
Blogging Platform Setup Integrate a full blog engine with categories, author profiles, on-site search and RSS feed capability.
Launch Content & Revisions Provide one launch-ready Journal article (1 000 – 1 500 words). Include two revision rounds covering both design and copy.
Basic SEO Optimisation & Rich Snippets Optimise the Client-supplied copy on every page with basic on-page SEO (keyword-driven H-tags, meta titles & descriptions, alt text, XML sitemap). Add schema markup for rich snippets. Note: This package does not include advanced keyword research or ongoing SEO strategy.
E-commerce Setup for One Primary Sauna SKU Build an e-commerce module on CYA for a single flagship sauna product. Create the full product journey—product page, cart, checkout and branded thank-you flow. Configure secure payment gateway, region-appropriate tax and shipping rules, and add basic product-level structured data.
Timeline
Project start: Begins once Client submits all requested onboarding assets
Design phase: 1 – 2 weeks (dependent on timely Client feedback)
Development phase: 2 weeks after design approval
Final review & testing: 2 weeks after development
Launch: Within 1 week of final approval
Estimated total duration: Approximately 7 weeks, assuming on-schedule Client cooperation
Client Responsibilities
Information and Assets: The Client agrees to provide all necessary information and assets required for the completion of the website, including but not limited to business descriptions, goals, services or products, target audience details, branding guidelines, content, images, testimonials, domain details, and social media links, within seven business days of any request made by the Service Provider.
Timely Feedback: The Client agrees to provide timely feedback and approvals within seven business days of any requests made by the Service Provider.
Payment Terms
Total Fee: $2473
Payment is due upfront before production begins.
A $100/month hosting fee will be billed monthly starting from the beginning of the website development phase.
This fee includes unlimited website hosting — clients may host as many websites as they like under their account.Payment accepted via Stripe (credit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Klarna, Affirm, Afterpay, etc.)
Revisions and Additional Work
Number of Included Revisions: Three revisions during the design phase are included in the $2473 project cost.
Cost for Additional Revisions: Additional revisions will be billed at an hourly rate of $90.
Hourly Rate for Additional Work: $90 per hour for any work outside the original scope.
Hosting & Support
Unlimited Hosting included while subscribed to the CYA platform
Post-Delivery Support: 90 days of support included after delivery
Confidentiality
Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA): Both parties agree to keep confidential any proprietary information shared during the project.
Force Majeure
Neither party shall be liable for delays or non-performance due to events beyond their control (e.g., venue cancellation, travel issues).
Intellectual Property
Ownership: The Client will own the final website and all its components upon full payment. The Service Provider retains the right to showcase the project in their portfolio.
Licenses: The Client will receive any necessary licenses for third-party software or assets used.
Termination
Termination Conditions: Either party may terminate this Agreement with 14 days written notice.
Refunds and Fees: In the event of termination, the Client will be billed for work completed up to the termination date. The deposit is non-refundable.
Warranties and Liability
Warranties: The Service Provider warrants that the website will be free from defects for up to 90 days after launch. If the website malfunctions or defects are attributed to the Service Provider's work, they will provide the necessary work to fix the defects or issues at no cost within this time frame. If the defects are attributed to the Client in any way, the Service Provider will provide the service and work to fix these issues at a rate of $90 an hour.
Limitations of Liability: The Service Provider's liability is limited to the amount paid by the Client under this Agreement.
Support and Maintenance
Post-Launch Support: The Service Provider will provide support within the first 90 days to maintain continuity with the warranty.
Ongoing Services: Ongoing maintenance and support will be provided at a rate of $90 an hour.
Dispute Resolution
Governing Law: This Agreement is governed by the laws of British Columbia, Canada.
Dispute Resolution Process: Any disputes will be resolved through either mediation or arbitration, based on the preference of the parties involved, in British Columbia.
Miscellaneous
Entire Agreement: This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties.
Amendments: Any changes to this Agreement must be made in writing and signed by both parties.
Severability: If any part of this Agreement is found to be invalid, the rest of the Agreement remains in effect.
E-Signatures:
By signing (or electronically accepting) below, both Parties acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of this Website Agreement as of the Effective Date. 05/12/2025.
